This is an uncorrected proof so I don’t want to harp too much on the errors I noticed, but my copy did have a chapter that ended abruptly– so abruptly that the sentence didn’t even have a period at the end. Most of the complaints I have about it are technical. It’s short and sweet, and though I would have loved more detail and more depth, I think it’s nice the way it is. But on the other hand, it did have a fairy tale feel to it, so I didn’t necessarily mind. There was something very simplistic about it, which could be seen as a bad thing as I never got a full sense of the characters. This was a very charming and quick read, similar enough to the original source material while offering enough changes to make it unique. My opinion was not affected by the free copy. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ![]()
